Jay Boyd | CLAS ’16
President
My passion for UVA started in 2003, watching the men’s lacrosse team win a national championship, and has only grown since. From working on the football team for four years to taking astronomy classes on Observatory Hill, UVA’s unique blend of sports, academics, and community has shaped my life. Serving on this board is a new chapter, and I look forward to contributing and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.

Sophie Maeter | CLAS ’18
Vice President
Coming to UVA without ever having been to Virginia, becoming a Hoo changed my life. UVA pushed me to grow academically, professionally, and socially, and I’m proud to have worn the Honors of Honor. From leadership roles to dinners with friends at Trinity, I’m grateful for all the University gave me.

Secretary
UVA is unlike anywhere else, defined not only by its traditions and beauty but by the people shaped by its values of honor, stewardship, and excellence. Some of my favorite memories include living in the IRC, Halloweens on the Lawn, and celebrating the 2019 NCAA Basketball season. I’m excited to serve on the board, connect with fellow Hoos in D.C., and carry forward the Wahoo spirit.

JP Pitarque | Darden ’25
Treasurer
Darden was a transformative experience that gave me lasting lessons, friendships, and a close-knit community. After graduation, I was welcomed into the broader UVA alumni family, defined by shared purpose and commitment to excellence. It’s an honor to give back to the University, and I look forward to serving the DC Hoos.
