IT and Tech Networking Event

UVA alumni, and parents involved in the IT and Tech profession are encouraged to attend and network with other established Wahoo professionals. The purpose of this event is meet others and share similar experiences, challenges, and accomplishments from the IT and Tech world. There has already been a strong commitment from several Wahoos who want to maintain an on-going networking group, which will meet a few times a year.
Teqcorner – an innovation center located in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia – designed to provide small businesses; technology companies and, start-up entrepreneurs with a “community office” approach that provides flexible; affordable; short-term lease options and virtual office solutions including; walk-in Day Office and/or Meeting Room Access; Concierge services; Wireless IT Solutions & Services; Operational Support Services and, Administrative Services. Full-time office space solutions range in size from 150 s.f. to 1,600 s.f. including SCIF suites built to DCID/121 (6.90) Specifications and Top Secret (TS) rated suites.
Teqcorner, the only community officing center in Northern Virginia provides a unique networking atmosphere known as “TeqCONNECT” & “TeqFOCUS”:
“TeqCONNECT” events are designed to provide our community with access to monthly networking events; business mixers and growth strategy panel discussions.
“TeqFOCUS” events are designed to provide our community with access to one-on-one meetings with the decision makers in the federal government and prime contractor market place.
The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia offers a top-ranked Master’s Degree in the Management of Information Technology (M.S. in MIT). This unique, executive format program is specifically designed for working business and IT professionals. Classes are available in two distinct formats: one 3-day session (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) a month on the UVA grounds in Charlottesville, VA; or two Saturdays a month at the ASCE Bechtel Conference Center in Reston, VA. The program takes 12 months to complete with the next cohort starting in August of 2012. Applications are now being accepted.
