The Washington Nationals are hosting their 3rd Annual UVA College Day on Saturday, June 24th when they take on the Cincinnati Reds. Join the UVA Club of Washington, DC as we cheer on former UVA baseball star Ryan Zimmerman, Racing President Mr. Jefferson, and our Washington Nationals! The pregame will be at Willie’s Brew and Que from 2:00pm-4:00pm and first pitch is at 4:05pm.

As part of our day at the ballpark, our club will also be collecting donations for Horton’s Kids (led by a UVA alum!) and its “Back to School Drive” during our pregame social. Horton’s Kids needs your help so that at-risk children in DC can start school prepared and ready to learn: Operation Backpacks aims to collect 205 durable backpacks and school supplies for 115 children in grades K-5, and 90 children in grades 6-12. Please bring an item to donate, such as a backpack or school supplies like loose leaf paper, #2 pencils, glue sticks, composition notebooks, etc.
