DCHoos Tour of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden

August 11, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Saturday, August 11
2:00pm – 3:00pm
Hirshhorn

Free to attend!

All alumni, parents, and friends are invited to join the UVA Club of Washington, DC on a guide-led tour of the Hirshhorn Museum on Saturday, August 11th at 2:00 p.m. We will enjoy a tour of the What Absence Is Made Of exhibition.

What does absence look like? How can loss—of objects, of memory, of yourself—become a tool for artistic expression? In the face of today’s increasingly noisy consumer culture, “What Absence Is Made Of” answers these questions and more as it mines the Hirshhorn’s extensive collection in search of the mind-bending ways that artists surmount the limits of the material world.

We look forward to seeing you there!
