THREADBURY
While Meagan (Myers) Kosuri (McIntire ’14), always had an interest in fashion, she never expected to channel it into building her own business. What started as a weekend hobby has grown into THREADBURY, a made-to-measure suiting company built on the belief that custom clothing should be both approachable and enjoyable. While at UVA, Meagan co-founded the Futures in Fashion Association and first discovered the concept of bespoke clothing on a McIntire trip to China. She immediately saw the appeal as someone with non-standard sizing, and while she went on to gain industry experience doing marketing for retail brands, it wasn’t until years later, with encouragement from her husband, that she became inspired to set up her own shop.
A proud moment for Meagan came at her own wedding last December, where her husband, groomsmen, and their fathers all wore Threadbury suits.
Threadbury started small in 2023 and slowly spread beyond friends and family by word of mouth. Today, it outfits clients in custom suiting, dress and casual shirts, and chinos, helping them choose every detail—from fabrics and linings to monogramming and cuffs—before each piece is crafted to their unique measurements (22 in total, to be exact). A proud moment for Meagan came at her own wedding last December, where her husband, groomsmen, and their fathers all wore Threadbury suits. That experience sparked her newest focus: creating group made-to-measure packages for weddings, corporate groups and celebrations.
