All alumni, parents, and friends are invited to join the UVA Club of Washington, DC for a holiday lunch at The City Tavern Club in Georgetown. A tour of the clubhouse will follow lunch.

The City Tavern Club is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and operates as a nonprofit organization with the mission of preserving one of the oldest Federal period buildings and the sole remaining founding-era tavern in Washington, D.C. Originally constructed in 1796, the City Tavern functioned as both an inn and a major hub of civic life in the area during the early Federal period. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other Founding Fathers frequented the Tavern during this time.

The Hoos 2.0 committee’s goal is to plan activities that will attract and encourage a great spectrum of generations to become active in the UVA Club of Washington, DC. If you can not join us for lunch this month but would like to get involved with our committee or learn more about it, please email uvahoos2.0@dchoos.org. We are looking for committee members to help plan, create, and execute events!
