Alumni Family’s Rescued Dog a Frontrunner in Nationwide Postal Contest
Jordy, a mixed-breed terrier who resides in Arlington, belongs to the family of UVA Alums Jeff (CLAS ’04) and Patrice (COMM ’04), and 9 month old daughter, Virginia Robinson. Jordy is a frontrunner, in need of votes, in an online contest organized by the Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum. Jordy is currently neck-and-neck with a terrier mix named Bentley in a contest to find an Owney look-a-like. The Robinsons are trying to rally the DCHoos to vote for Jordy. Voting is being conducted on Facebook, one vote per day until the contest’s conclusion on Monday. Upon Midnight Monday when the final votes are in, Jordy’s family wants to hear echoes of the Good Ole Song throughout the city.
